Inspired by our love of nature & power tools, we originally set out to create beautiful & functional landscapes for people that wanted nice gardens, but didn’t know where to start. However, along the way we realised that our clients needed more help & support during the build process to guide their project to a great finish – so our design, manage, construct process was born.

Since starting the process in 2014, we have helped over 300 people build 150 lifespaces – individually tailored to their homes and tastes. And have many more exciting projects in the pipeline!

One of the things that sets us apart is our craftsmanship, built from over 40+ years in the landscaping industry. Because of this experience, there is rarely a problem that we haven’t encountered before – meaning we understand how to get things done – on time, on budget & to Goom standard.

Team Goom.

We achieve the best results through teamwork. The people that make up our team all bring unique strengths & skill sets to the table – from blockies & concrete sealers to stone masons & arborists. All members of our team were picked because they are excellent at what they do, and are the reason we are able to provide such high standards of workmanship. But it’s not just about us, our clients become part of our team when they work with us. We make sure that they are included from the get-go and that their experience is open, honest & enjoyable. Team Goom means fostering a supportive environment and helping each other out.. except during our social functions throughout the year, like our Quiz night – that’s when things get competitive!

We aim to challenge the status quo and are always on the lookout for opportunities to make break through innovations in our designs, processes, and the way we build them. We know that one size rarely fits all, which is why we customize the ‘sizing’ of our process for each of our clients. If you are looking for something different, you have come to the right place! We enjoy coming up with designs that wow your socks off, and love the challenge of bringing the impossible to life. For us nothing is standard, unless it’s our Goom standard.

Do it Once, Do it Right.

We’re totally committed to being the best at what we do, and never settle for ‘good enough’ when excellence is at stake. Laziness & cutting corners are not part of our culture. Our focus is on accuracy and quality. This means not overlooking simple processes or construction techniques, as we pride ourselves on doing it right the first time. If, however, things don’t go smoothly, we take responsibility for our mistakes & work to fix them. Because we stand behind the work we do.

Be Safe, Not Sorry.

We ensure that safety is built into everything that we do – to make sure all our team members get home safely to their families at the end of the day. This means watching out for each other onsite, removing risks before they can become a hazard, and putting site security in place to protect our clients & the public. We’d rather go the extra mile to ensure safety, than be sorry for not having done it, because protecting our team is important.

Be Respectful.

One of our top priorities is to create & maintain an environment that cultivates growth & respect. We want every interaction with Goom to be respectful & positive. This includes with clients, between workmates, treating equipment & vehicles with respect, and respecting the public as we do our job – by not getting in their way & protecting them from risks.

Work Hard, Celebrate.

There’s nothing better than sharing in the happiness of a satisfied client, after we’ve worked hard to smash the goals of their landscaping project. However, it’s also important to enjoy the journey and celebrate the small successes throughout the process. We get right into celebrations here at Goom’s, and are known for our team social nights, which include lawn bowls, quiz nights, & ten pin bowls, as well as our birthday morning tea shouts, and our unique internal sign off tradition when we hand over a project – which involves ringing a giant ship bell & deafening half the office.
